Pick up trash! ; Congratulatory Flashmob
is an event organized by Mahallah Uthman Representative Committee on 31st March 2012 at Morib Beach. This is a part of Community service that we'd conducted as promoting the Evergreen Go Green Campaign.
The Prophet (pbuh) said: "Every good deed is charity." (Bukhari)
He also said: "On every person's joints or small bones (i.e. fingers and toes), there is sadaqah (charity) due every day when the sun rises.
Doing justice between two people is sadaqah;
assisting a man to mount his animal,
or lifting up his belongings onto it is sadaqah;
a good word is sadaqah;
every step you take towards prayer is sadaqah;
and removing harmful things from pathways is sadaqah."

On 16th
November 2011, Bureau Da’wah and Tarbiyyah of Mahallah Uthman Representative
Committee (MURC) had organized a religious talk (tazkirah) entitled Da’wah Islamiyyah at Musolla Uthman.
The programme started at
7.25 pm after Maghrib congregational prayer. The tazkirah was delivered by
Prof. Dr. Nasoha Saabin, Dean Faculty of Optometry from International
University of Technology Twintech.
“Do da’wah with good akhlaq!” said Dr Nasoha. He added more “Da’wah and akhlaq are two
different things, but they complementing each other. Some of us may believe
that we cannot preach Islam to non-muslim before we rectify ourselves. No! This
is wrong. Your akhlaq will be better
when you start to teach others about Islam. These two things are reflexive.
That is the beautiful of Islam.”
“People stay indifference
about others because they feel they are not qualified to talk about their
faith, Islam. This is trick of satan to keep your mouth silent” he added.
One of the
participants, Firdaus Zawani is grateful to spend his time for the tazkirah. “This is good for me. As an
engineering student I can hardly learn about the story of Islam and the concept
of da’wah in class. Informal lesson like this can be very helpful for reviving
the glory of Islam.”
This Tazkirah
programme was conducted once in a month. Participants who are present came from
Mahallah Uthman residents, the fellow and also the Principal. InshaAllah, this
programme will be continuing for the next semester with interesting and
knowledgeable topics to be discussed.
“Exciting!” is the only single word uttered by Hairi
Shazwan to describe The Educational Trip to Parliament and Putrajaya which is
held on 24th November 2011. “This is my first step on the parliament
ground although I am Malaysian myself. Thanks to Mahallah Uthman
Representative Committee for this opportunity.”
The one day trip has successfully gathered a total
of 38 participants from the residents of Mahallah Uthman, Mahallah Asma’ and
Mahallah Asiah. Abdul Hadi, the Program Manager said that this trip is
organized to expose the students on
Malaysia Legal System, to educate the foreign students on Malaysia History and
Legal Institutions and to celebrate and promote the culture of
exploration and learning outside the campus with the real situations and
conditions.

Throughout the trip, the participants are led by Bro
Mustapha Ramdzuan to enter the Dewan Negara and Dewan Rakyat. They get the
chance to see a live parliament debate session on the issue of peace assembly
bill, involvement of students in political party and so on.
After that, the trip continues to Putrajaya to visit
Sri Perdana complex. Unfortunately they are not allowed to enter the complex
due to the visiting schedule which is only open from 9 am to 3 pm only. However, the disappointment faded after the reach
the last destination; The Palace of Justice. We were entertained by the guide
person to see how the Court of Appeal judges conducting the proceedings.
Ahmad
Syafiq, one of the participant described that this is a very interesting
experience when you get to see what you have learned in class to be in real
life.
Later, the participants were brought to the Federal
Court Library. The library contains a huge collection of law reports, text
books, loose act and other documents regarding judiciary system from many
sources. After that we were guided to visit the Museum.
“I
really enjoyed the tour in the Museum because we did learn a lot of things that
British inherit to our judiciary system. Furthermore, the guard said that we
are enjoying the tour in very special way which is not experienced by other
visitor. Just, let keep things silent in my memory,” said Mohamad Khazairul in
a very delighted and giggly way.
